We found that teeth whitening actually improves your chances of getting a dream job. A study, done recently, showed that people who have whiter teeth tended to get their dream job more frequently than people who did not by an impressive 58% margin. If that wasn’t enough to come in for a teeth whitening, we also found that people with whiter teeth were typically on a faster track to getting promotions and raises (53%). What this shows is that people are more attracted to and tend to respond better to whiter smiles. If there was any doubt about this result, the final statistic was shocking even to us. Of a large group of women surveyed, 71% stated that they make a first impression of a man based on his teeth. Men with a great, confident smile and perfect white teeth were favored in very lopsided results. Socially or professionally, it would seem, people prefer dealing with someone with great teeth.
Your job then becomes to maintain these perfect teeth between teeth whitening appointments. This may be easier said than done. One of the first things, you will need to do is to ensure that you are not consuming large quantities of products that are high in coloring and dyes. It doesn’t matter if the product is natural or has a chemical additive from a dental perspective. Once your teeth whitening is completed, any product with a lot of color can, and will, start gradually reverting your teeth from their perfect white state.
In today’s world, there are liquid culprits that deserve specific mention. Tea and coffee are consumed faster and in larger quantities today than ever before in history. Both of these contain natural staining agents, and when consumed in large quantities will stain your teeth. Cola products are also a major challenge for people who want to maintain their just cleaned pearly white look. Cola products contain chemically added coloring that are extremely discoloring in nature and will stain your teeth very quickly. Similarly, energy drinks are not only high in color content but also have a great deal of sugar which doubles the effect they have on the teeth. In any of these cases, you should strongly consider rinsing your mouth after drinking these products so that your teeth have a chance to stay white.
